Sora Olah is the face of today coming to a screen near you

TORONTO - October 12, 2006

Winter promises to be a busy season for the well-known personality, Sora Olah. Currently the co-host of Street Eats, set to go primetime in January, the talented actress also stars in TELETOON's animated hit, Sons of Butcher and short film, The Yard Sale, airing on Bravo!FACT.

On Street Eats, Sora scours the city of Toronto and its outskirts to bring you the best in regional food-to-go. Along the way, they introduce you to the chefs, restaurateurs from around the world that now call Toronto home. Street Eats has just finished filming Season II and is going primetime in January, 2007.

The Yard Sale is a short comedy for Bravo!FACT by director Matthew Toffolo. The film produced by Wildcard Pictures stars Sora Olah as a contrasting neighbour. Janet (Olah) is the conservative type and Joe is a fish out of water after winning the lottery. But now the money is running out, so he decides to hold a yard sale - every single day. The film is currently shooting and is set to release early 2007.

Sora takes the screen in cartoon form on TELETOON's hilarious animated series Sons of Butcher. Transformed into two contrasting characters, Sora plays both a blonde-haired pleasantly clueless stripper Cherry Lafontaine and the uptight faint-hearted grade school teacher Mrs. Van Barneveld. Both characters are set to appear in an upcoming episode called "Teachin' the Touches" airing this November.

Sora is also closely involved with Wildsound, an industry reading series. Wildsound is a monthly event that brings together actors, writers, casting agents and directors where a television/film script is read, followed by group feedback.

As a Canadian actor with a diverse background, Sora represents the many faces of this country. The skilled Eurasian actress can play a wide range of roles and has a face that people can globally identify with.

Sora Olah has traveled the world before becoming co-host of Street Eats allowing her to combine her passions for food and acting. Street Eats first season is currently airing Saturdays at 1:30pm on SUNTV. Sons of Butcher airs Fridays at 9:30pm on The Detour. Olah also stars in Beautiful, a short film currently playing in US film festivals this month. Sora now lives in Toronto where she works as an actor in a variety of TV, film and theatre projects.
