The GREY GOOSE® Vodka Pour Masters are set to raise the bar on cocktail culture in Canada
GREY GOOSE® Vodka’s global brand ambassador Dimitri Lezinska was in Canada recently for a cross-country tour in which he met with the country’s best and most promising in the field of mixology. Lezinska was in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver speaking at events to honour and acknowledge these Canadian mixologists and inaugurate them into the GREY GOOSE® Vodka Pour Masters Program, an elite group of Canada’s best mixologists.
Being named a GREY GOOSE® Vodka Pour Master requires innovation, dedication and of course, personality. “These talented mixologists are the tastemakers and trendsetters in their field,” said Lisa Mazurkewich, GREY GOOSE® Vodka Brand Manager. “GREY GOOSE is proud to acknowledge them as they take their craft to the next level, and at the same time, bring a truly unique and innovative cocktail culture to Canada.”
Canadian cocktail culture is on the rise, with more mixologists treating their craft in much the same way a chef approaches cooking. Freshness of ingredients is of the utmost importance, and the creativity of the drinks is only limited by imagination.
While meeting with the Pour Masters, Lezinska discussed his experiences as one of Europe’s most successful mixologists as well as his philosophies on the art of cocktail making: “The perfect GREY GOOSE classic martini cocktail has three crucial ingredients. At the GREY GOOSE® Vodka Pour Masters launch events, Lezinska demonstrated new cocktails that inspired the Pour Masters to go out and continue to try their own creations, including the Pour Masters Martini Cocktail with a surprise ingredient, 20-year-old aged Balsamic vinegar!
These mixologists are ready to make their mark on Canadian cocktail culture the same way that Lezinska has made his mark in Europe. The Pour Masters will be at the forefront of Canadian mixology throughout the next year.
The Pour Masters Martini Cocktail
2 oz. GREY GOOSE® Vodka
¼ oz. Aged Balsamic Vinegar (20 yrs or more)
1 ½ large strawberries
7 raspberries
Squeeze of lemon
Muddle all ingredients, shake and finely strain into a chilled martini cocktail glass. Garnish with a zest of pink grapefruit.
