Hilary Duff joins with McCall's for a new line of sewing patterns for fashion accessories and crafts
Hilary Duff, the internationally renowned actress, recording artist, philanthropist and designer, has partnered with The McCall Pattern Company for a new line of fashion sewing crafts and patterns from the stuff by hilary duff 'tween label. The new line will allow home sewers the opportunity to create Hilary's spring fashion designs. The line is expected to hit Canadian stores March 31, 2007.
"Joining with Hilary Duff allows McCall's to bring her individual spirit and effortless style to sewers here and around the world," said McCall's Vice President, Gail Hamilton. "Hilary delivers fashion straight from the heart."
Hilary, in collaboration with her creative director Geoffry Gertz, has provided design direction for the new line of stuff by hilary duff fashion sewing patterns for girls sizes 3-16. McCall's will distribute the patterns under the stuff by hilary duff label which will be available at Walmart, Fabricland and other Canadian fabric retail outlets, in McCall's Sewing Today magazine and on the web at www.mccallpattern.com. With future plans to expand its product offering under the Hilary brand, McCall's will include sewing patterns for accessories, crafts and fashions in the Miss size range.
"My new line of home sew fashion crafts from the stuff by hilary duff label gives home sewers the opportunity to create a wardrobe of my designs which are uniquely theirs," said Hilary.
The initial stuff by hilary duff product offering from McCall's includes a collection of four McCall's patterns for Spring 2007 in hooded jackets, tops, denim skirts, capri pants and shorts. This offering can be interpreted by the home sewer in this season's favorite fabrics of denim, seersucker, knits, prints and chino and can be embellished and personalized with lace, eyelets, rhinestones, glitter, sequins and other details Hilary has used in her designs.
