KC Collins stars in the CTV Signature Series production, Doomstown

Canadian-born actor K.C. Collins, who now calls Los Angeles home,stars as Jedi, a young man struggling to survive amid Toronto’s wash of recent gun violence, in Doomstown. The show is an original made-for-TV movie from the Signature Series, airing on CTV on Sunday June 11th, 2006, from 9:00pm to 11:00pm.
Doomstown is a timely exploration of the deadly gang culture that plagues many urban communities, including the streets of Toronto. Written and directed by Genie-nominated filmmaker Sudz Sutherland (Love, Sex & Eating the Bones), Doomstown opens with Jedi’s best friend Twist (Mark Taylor) taking a fatal bullet, intended for Jedi.
The story follows Jedi’s attempt to seek revenge for his best friend’s death, while exploring the bigger question of why this violence has been happening in the first place.
Doomstownis Collins’ first starring role, after building a lengthy and impressive resume since hisfirst-break as a guest-star on the CTV series Due South.
