Juno-winning rapper Choclair hosts a listening party for his new CD, Flagship, Wednesday August 23, 2006
Canadian hip hop star Choclair will hold an exclusive listening party for his new album, Flagship, this Wednesday August 23, 2006 at 7:30PM. The event takes place at Orbit Room, 580A College Street. Afterwards, Choclair will jam with a live band for his guests.
Some of Toronto's best and brightest talent is expected to come out and support their fellow musician, including Kardinal Offishall, Jully Black, Ian D'Sa of Billy Talent, Ian Thornley, Luke McMaster of McMaster and James, Melanie Durrant, Saukrates and Solitaire.
Choclair just released his first album single, Weekend, which immediately made heavy rotation on FLOW 93.5 and numerous other radio stations across Canada and the USA. Flagship, will be available in stores in Canada and the USA by September 26, 2006.
The day before, on August 22, Choclair will be shooting the video for Weekend at the Gladstone Hotel. The song and video also feature up-and-coming triple threat songwriter/producer/singer Karl Wolf.
His first release, Twenty-One Years, was released in December of 1995 on his independently owned record label, Kneedeep Records. He was quickly embraced worldwide, establishing him as a standout rapper in the burgeoning Canadian hip hop scene.
