Choclair jams with Karl Wolf, Liam Killeen, Kyle Riabko and other Canadian talent, at the Song For Africa video launch, to raise AIDS awareness

TORONTO: August 14, 2006

On this rare occasion, Choclair performs with pianist Karl Wolf, drummer Liam Killeen, guitarist Kyle Riabko, and other Canadian talent at the launch party for the music video, titled Song For Africa. Hosted by the Song for Africa organization, the event takes place at the Drake Hotel, on Monday, August 14, 2006 from 8:30pm to 9pm. Doors open at 7:30pm. (1150 Queen St. W.) All funds go to building a mobile clinic in Kenya.

The video premiered at the opening of the 16th Annual International AIDS Conference in Toronto, yesterday - August 13th, 2006.

Over the past several years, some key industry players involved in the Canadian music industry have recognized that the AIDS pandemic in Africa has become a worldwide call for concern. Choclair has responded by joining in the creation of a benefit single, written and performed by a host of Canadian musicians, and produced by Darcy “Wu” Ataman and Luke McMaster. The song is currently playing at radio stations from coast to coast.

At the launch event, guests have the opportunity to see the Song For Africa music video. Choclair and Song For Africa producer/CEO Darcy “Wu” Ataman, among others, will speak about the importance of educating our youth on the AIDS pandemic, teaching them to become leaders of the future who can help to resolve this travesty in Africa and around the world. Choclair then kicks off the artists jam.

Song For Africa helps to increase primary healthcare capacity for indigenous communities in the Maasai Mara Region of Kenya.
